Basic Job Qualifications:

5+ years of experience with all aspects of software and hardware acquisition, configuration, provisioning and production support for HPE Servers, VMware ESXi, and VMware vSphere\ vRealize suites, Windows, Hyper-V, AWS & Azure.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience supporting a VMware vSphere environment and physical compute environments.
• Experience with replication management tools such as vSphere Replication and VMware Site Recovery Manager
• Experience supporting multi-data center, disaster recovery
• Experience with storage virtualization (NAS, SAN) and encryption within a VMware compute environment
• Experience with networking, physical connectivity, concepts of vNIC and Virtual Distributed Switch.
• Experience with capacity planning and performance troubleshooting of the virtualized compute environment
• Experience with HPE OneView, HPE C7000 enclosures, HPE Synergy 12000 frames.
• Experience with the Command Line Interface for Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Service Now experience as a ticketing system
• Experience with physical UNIX systems (HPE Superdome, IBM Power Systems) is a plus

Windows

• Good knowledge on ITIL Processes & Certification will be an added advantage.
• 5 years Windows Administration experience
• Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 experience
• VMware vSphere experience
• 2 years Windows patch and vulnerability management
• High level understanding of risks created by vulnerabilities
• High level knowledge of Active Directory and group policy objects.
• Knowledge of process to rollback patches as needed
• Ability to follow standard work and produce appropriate documentation
• 1 year of experience implementing Hardened Baseline Configuration standards and controls
• High level understanding of risks associated with controls like CIS
• Able to independently troubleshoot production issues quickly
• Experience with Microsoft IIS
• Ability to assist in audit data gathering
• Ability to assist in audit data gathering

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years Windows patch and vulnerability management
• 4 years of Windows baseline hardening
• Proficient in Ansible automation code
• Cloud computing experience and knowledge & Experience with Service Now
• Experience with PowerShell
• Ability to support a hybrid cloud model

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support specifications for complex operating system using releases and utilities from Microsoft.
• Test, debug, and author documentation for the environment.
• Responsible for overall Windows operating system, such as sophisticated file patching, hardening, automation and highest complexity troubleshooting.
• Competent to work at the highest technical level on all phases of Windows operating systems.
• May assist other systems engineers to effectively utilize the system's technical software.
